How many students attend your program?

Student numbers generally range from 80 to 140. However, efforts are underway to continue to expand the program.

What is the class size?

There are usually 10-20 students in each class.

What is your attendance policy?

Students are expected to attend class every day. Attendance is a significant portion of a studentís grade.

How many levels of proficiency do you teach?

Our courses are taught at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels based on student abilities. Courses taught comprise of the Introduction to the Intensive English Language Program (level 1, 2 & 3) and the Intensive English Language Program where students begin to focus on their needs to matriculate from our program.

What is the minimum classroom time for students?

Full time students can expect to be in class Monday through Thursday.

Do you have any accreditation or affiliations?

The Intensive English Language Program is accredited through Aims community college. Additional accreditation is being sought.

Is there an application fee?

No.

What are the requirements for entering the program?

Community residents must take the ACT Compass Assessment. Other tests students may be required to take are the LOEP or Accuplacer.

What is student tuition?

Semester long courses are $305.00 each for community residents. Tuition for international students is $625.00 per semester long courses. This cost does not include the cost of textbooks, additional class materials or the $25.00 cost to register for an optional payment plan.

How are international students expected to pay?

How long do I have to stay in the program?

Length of stay is dependent on student performance and level of English proficiency when starting the program. If a student fails a class twice, they are dropped from the program. However, this is highly unlikely.

What level of access do IELP students have to campus resources?

All students have access to resources in the General Services building, including a prayer room.

Are there any computer and language labs available?

Yes. We are also currently in the process of adding a portable computer iPad lab for future students.
