What is STAR?

Emerging Scholars ProgramThe STAR: STudent Achievement and Retention program is designed to provide retention services and academic support to new and continuing students at all campus locations. The goals of the program are to help you adjust to college, persist to graduation and be successful. Through the STAR program you will receive:

  • Intensive academic advising
  • Career and major exploration
  • College transfer preparation
  • Development of student success skills
  • iFocus Workshops

The STAR program consists of the following services:

  • Emerging Scholars Program
  • STAR Advising
  • Academic Success Planning
  • AIR Reports
  • Stop-Out Reports
  • iFocus Workshops
  • Student Success Skills Workshops
