Aims conducts one commencement ceremony per year, held at the end of spring semester.
The 2017 commencement ceremony will be May 12 at 5 p.m. at the Budweiser Event Center
(5290 Arena Circle, Loveland, CO).
Graduation Application Deadline for Summer 2017 is April 14, 2017

There is one day scheduled in May for spring semester graduates and one in August
for summer semester graduates to pick up their diploma or certificate at Aims. If
you don't pick it up that day, it will be mailed to the last known address we have
for you on file. Students who were fall semester graduates will have already received
their diplomas or certificates.
Last day to order caps and gowns in person from the Bookstore is April 18.
Cap and gown distribution week will be April 24-28.

Monday 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Items Graduates are Allowed to Wear During the Commencement Ceremony
President’s Honor Medal
Worn by students having a 4.0 cumulative GPA as of Fall Semester 2016 and meet the
criteria of the award.
Received at the Academic Honors Ceremony (Invite only) or at check in table at Commencement
Gold Honor Cords
Worn by students having 3.5-3.9 or better cumulative GPA as of Fall Semester 2016
and are on the Dean’s or President’s list and have met the criteria for the award.

Gold Stoles and Gold Tassels
Worn by students who are members of the Beta Kappa Lambda Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, International
Honor Society of the Two-Year College.
Purchase online at PTK.org – must have been inducted into the society to purchase.
Maroon and Gray Cords
Worn by students that have completed the Aims Honors Program, which consists of completing
a minimum of 3 honors courses with a 3.25 or higher, 3 leadership experiences and
completion of a capstone project.
Green and Gold Cords
Worn by students who are members of Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society.

Light Gray Stoles
Worn by students who are members of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Available for purchase online at NSLS website (https://www.societyleadership.org) – must have been inducted into the society.

Worn by students who are members of SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society.

Graduates are NOT allowed to wear the souvenir tassel for the ceremony.
You may wear the black tassel that came with your regalia or the gold PTK tassel only.
You must choose one or the other - you will not be allowed to wear more than one tassel.
