Associated Students of Aims Community College

Who are the Associated Students?
The student body of Aims Community College is represented by a student advocacy organization known as the Associated Students of Aims Community College (ASACC).  This organization consists of two student boards, the Student Government Association (SGA) and the MyLife Student Peer Education Council (SPEC).

The ASACC Student Government Association consists of five (5) members, representing the students at Aims as student government representatives.  Student representation on various community, college, and student boards/committees are fundamental responsibilities of this board.  Affording students a platform on which to express opinions, concerns, and/or institute non-academic grievance procedures are primary responsibilities of this board.  Listed below are the current Student Government Association positions:

Our mission is to promote involvement and encourage awareness of issues facing Aims Community College students and voice their concerns objectively to the parties that may evoke change.

The ASACC MyLife Student Peer Education Council consists of seven (7) members, representing the students at Aims as educators focused on a variety of topics.  The team works throughout the year to raise awareness and provide information about various topics related to increasing student success while building a community of students at Aims.  Listed below are the current MyLife Student Peer Education Council positions:

The purpose of the MyLife Student Peer Education Council is to advocate and facilitate healthy lifestyle choices, personal safety, and personal well-being for Aims students.


MISSION STATEMENT OF ASSOCIATED STUDENTS:
Through teamwork, leadership, communication, unity, participation in community and campus issues, let us, the Associated Students, be prepared and successful in meeting the needs of the students of Aims Community College.


The Associated Students of Aims Community College is an organization dedicated to improving the way of life for all students. They are assisted in their mission through leadership development training and programs. They are a dedicated, directed, and motivated group of students, who seek students like themselves to carry on the traditions and mission of this organization.
