What's New
Grant Aid
To be eligible to receive grant aid, students participating in the Student Support Services Program must meet the following requirements:
- Must be eligible for Pell Grant as deemed by federal guidelines.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.4.
- Have a semester grade point average of 2.4.
- Completed a minimum of 12 credits. Classes completed must be those required to complete Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science or Certificate Program. Classes below 100 level in ENG, REA, and MATH will be counted towards 12 credits.
- Must be enrolled and attend classes at Aims during the semester in which grant is awarded.
- Must complete financial literacy requirements on www.educationcents.org.
- Must attend a minimum of two advising sessions per semester with assigned academic advisor.
- Must complete a minimum of two of the following: Freshmen Seminar class (based on requirements outlined in syllabus); Seven Habits of Highly Effective College Students class (based on requirements outlined in syllabus); Student Support Services sponsored workshops; Student Support Services learning community; Mentoring Program; or Tutoring for specific class or classes.
- Priority will be given to students in their first year of college.
