Grant Guidelines - Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to receive the $400 award, students participating
in the Student Support Services Program must meet the following
requirements:
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.4.
- Have a fall semester grade point average of 2.4.
- Completed a minimum of 12 credits. Classes completed must be those
required to complete Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate
of Applied Science or Certificate Program. Classes below 100 level
in ENG, REA, and MATH will be counted towards 12 credits.
- Must be enrolled and attend classes at Aims during the semester
in which grant is awarded.
- Must be eligible for Pell Grant as deemed by federal guidelines.
- Must attend a minimum of two advising sessions per semester with
assigned academic advisor.
- Must complete a minimum of two of the following: Freshmen Seminar
class (based on requirements outlined in syllabus); Seven Habits
of Highly Effective College Students class (based on requirements
outlined in syllabus); Student Support Services workshops; Student
Support Services learning community or class; Mentoring Program;
or Tutoring for a specific class or classes.
- Qualified students are eligible to receive this $400 award twice
(maximum of $800).
- Grant recipients must be in their first two years of college.
