The Writing Center assists students in a variety of ways.  Students enrolled in content courses as well as English courses  are encouraged to utilize the Writing Center if they need help brainstorming, determining a thesis, writing an essay/paper outline, reviewing an essay/paper to identifying troublesome writing style and grammatical patterns, and meeting with peer groups outside of class. 

Drop-in assistance also includes help with:

• Thesis and essay/paper construction
• Database Research
• Reference page/Works Cited/Bibliography
• English and Reading class assignments
• Resumes
• Scholarship essays
• Study techniques and strategies

The Math Center is designed for students who need assistance in the Math outside of the classroom.  This Drop-In Center serves students at every level of Math proficiency.  Additionally, students are encouraged to come and work with peer groups outside of class, study for tests, and work on homework.  Tutors can help students become successful by assisting

• Answering questions about homework or assignments
• Guidance on study strategies
• Assist with test preparation
