Tutoring: Individual Tutoring

• be currently registered at Aims Community College for the class the student is requesting tutoring,
• have met the prerequisites for the class, AND
• submit a completed Request for Individual Tutoring to the Program Coordinator for Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction.

Tutors will:

• help you review concepts from a class or textbook
• answer questions about assignments or homework problems
• offer guidance and direction on assignments
• suggest ways to study or prepare for tests
• provide positive attitudes, support, and encouragement to learn and be successful in your classes
• offer flexible hours to try to accommodate your schedule in order to meet with you during your weekly scheduled session

Tutors will not:

• do your homework or assignments
• answer test questions
• give you all the answers
