GREELEY, CO – September 25, 2017– The community and media are invited to Aims Community College for “Operation: Family Fitness” on Saturday, September 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. The free event will take place in the Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC) on the Aims Greeley campus.
Family-friendly fitness will focus on group activities, including an Operation: Family Fitness obstacle course, physical bingo, family yoga and Zumba. Health and wellness vendors from the community, as well as Aims’ certified personal trainers will be on hand to answer questions and teach you how to make healthy snack choices, including a “Make Your Own Trail Mix” station. Face painting will be provided by the Greeley West Poms Team, and UNC athletes will be in attendance.
“The entire community is invited to spend the morning at Aims for Operation: Family Fitness to learn about the advantages of living a healthy lifestyle and share tips to help busy families stay healthy,” said Aims President, Dr. Leah L. Bornstein. “This event is meant to bring the community together, and it’s an opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facility that is home to the Aims Physical Education program.”

Face painting by Greeley West Poms team appearances will be made by UNC basketball players. Health and wellness vendors from the community will have booths set up.
