GREELEY, CO – October 9, 2017 – The Aims Community College Inclusiveness Council will host Reyna Grande, author of “The Distance Between Us” for a reading, book signing and reception on Friday, October 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cornerstone Conference Center in Greeley. The public is invited to attend this free event.
Reyna Grande’s memoir, “The Distance Between Us” is about her childhood spent torn between two parents and two countries. She shares the story of how her parents made the dangerous trek across the Mexican border in pursuit of the American dream and Reyna and her siblings were forced into the already overburdened household of their stern grandmother. She is the winner of the American Book Award and the International Latino Book Award.
