Agriculture

The agriculture industry impacts us daily – from drinking a glass of chocolate milk to putting ethanol (made from corn) in your car. While approximately 22 million people globally work in agriculture related fields, only about 10 percent of these are traditional farmers or ranchers. The growing opportunities for careers that support them are vast.

What makes up the other 90 percent of agriculture careers? That is where the opportunities are endless. Many times students want to be a part of agriculture but don’t know what careers are in the industry. By becoming an ag student at Aims, students can explore opportunities for their professional careers.

At Aims Community College, students can choose Ag Business, Soil and Crop Science, Horticulture and Animal Science Associate of Science transfer degrees, Agribusiness, Agriculture Production or Animal Science Associated of Applied Science degrees, and many one-year certificate programs. Aims is the only community college in Colorado that offers a Precision Agriculture certificate.
