Due to Covid-19, our nurse aide orientation is going to be via zoom for summer 2020
classes. Summer class orientations will be held at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday April
13 and Monday May 11. You need to sign up via the website to attend orientation (the
sign up has not changed). I will send a zoom invite via your Aims email to access
the orientation. The first orientation for fall classes will be July 6 (we hope to
be in person again that date). If you are under the age of 18, please have a parent
attend the zoom orientation with you.
I will be sending out an email to all students currently signed up for orientation to see if you are interested in summer or fall classes. Students who sign up for orientation on Tuesday April 2 or later will have an option to pick a specific date and time for summer orientation. If you are interested in fall, the sign up will not be available until June (we hope to be in person on that date.) A packet of information will be sent to your Aims email that includes all the information I will be going over during orientation.
If a students are interested in a summer class, they will need to let me know before attending orientation so I can send a list to our admissions department to make sure they have a current applications on file with the college and have no holds on their accounts.
Any paperwork that requires your signature will need to be signed, scanned and emailed to email@example.com. There are four documents that require your signature, and I will need these documents at the end of orientation. If you are under 18, a parent guardian must sign wherever you sign. The comprehension exam will be an online test that you need to pass with 100%. You still only have two tries to pass the test (open note). If you are unsuccessful, you will need to come to the next orientation.
In order to attend one of the orientation dates, please email me back with your preference by Thursday April 9 for the April 13 orientation and by Thursday May 7 for the May orientation. This only pertains to students who signed up for orientation prior to April 2, 2020.
Make sure you have a current application on file with Aims before attending orientation. Registration for classes occurs at orientation. You will be asked to present a photo ID.
* Registration for classes is on a first come, first serve basis. You will register at the end of orientation in the order you registered for orientation online.
You must attend the in-person orientation to sign up for a nurse aide class. You do not need to sign up online to attend orientation, but you will be in the back of the line when signing up for a class. Signing up online gives you an advantage over day of walk-ins. By signing up online, you will no longer need to show up early to wait in line.
Under 18?? If so, parent or legal guardian must be present and on time. Doors lock and close on the hour. If you are late, you will not be allowed in and will have to attend the next orientation.
All Greeley Orientations are at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please arrive about 15 minutes early.
Fort Lupton Orientation is at 5 p.m. Please arrive about 15 minutes early.
