As we navigate this challenging year, we hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and well. With fall semester quickly approaching, we plan to more regularly send out updates about College operations and classes. We realize you may have many questions and we will do our best to provide answers as decisions are finalized.
The following are the most recent updates regarding campus re-entry:
Re-entry Phase 3
Starting Monday, July 13 we will move into the next phase of reintegrating back to campus life. We have made decisions about each phase keeping in mind the safety and best interests of all of our students, faculty, and staff.
Student Services: Student Engagement, Inclusion, and Success (SEIS) will continue to offer all student services via Zoom or phone Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 5:30pm (summer hours). Additionally, limited in-person services will be offered for either walk-ins or appointments on all campuses Monday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and on the Greeley campus Tuesday from 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
PERC Reopening: The Aims Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC) will reopen for limited hours, Monday – Thursday: 6:30 – 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., 4 – 7 p.m. Employees who have been cleared to return to campus by HR and students currently enrolled in the summer semester classes will have access to the facility. Find usage guidelines in the Aims Daily.
Working on Campus: Supervisors are working to determine services/departments that need to return to campus. Employees in these areas will be (or have been) contacted by their supervisor and asked to complete the screening questionnaire from HR. If you have circumstances that prevent you from returning to campus, HR and your supervisor will be in contact with you for further discussion.
To keep each other healthy as we move ahead with re-entry plans, we will continue to monitor current safety protocols, which include daily entrance through the check-in stations, wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. Read a complete list of protocols on our website. We will be following these protocols for the foreseeable future and until further notice. Facilities & Operations manages and provides all cleaning supplies and Campus Safety & Security provides hand sanitizer. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these protocols please contact your supervisor.
Employees are eligible to return to work if they have not traveled to a high-risk out-of-state location. If you have or plan to travel to one of the states that is “Red or Dark Orange,” please notify your supervisor and HR to determine your work status. States currently in the “Red” status include, but are not limited to California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, and Florida. States currently in the “Dark Orange” status include Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Louisiana. A complete list of high-risk states can be found on the CDC COVID-19 Tracker (Total Cases tab) https://www.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker.
Employees who travel to a high-risk state are not eligible to return to the workplace until after 14 days of quarantine and are symptom free, consistent with the current Aims check-in process.
Per CDC, “COVID-19 cases and deaths have been reported in all 50 states, and the situation is constantly changing. Because travel increases your chances of getting infected and spreading COVID-19, staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others from getting sick.”
Therefore, if you do travel, please follow the CDC guidance to protect yourself and others around you: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-in-the-us.html
We are diligently planning for fall semester and are close to finalizing fall class
schedules with updated course delivery methods, classroom capacities, and sections
for each course. The revised schedules will be released by Wednesday, July 15, so
you can soon finalize your own plans.
