Dear Aims Family,
With the holidays and school breaks approaching, many of us may be considering travel and visiting with family and friends. We know how important it is to spend time with our loved ones, especially this time of year. However, with COVID-19 cases on the rise, we ask that you take precautions to keep everyone in our community safe and healthy this season.
Remember, Aims is a Community of Care. Let’s look out for each other by following safety guidelines and using the resources available to us. Below is some helpful information to keep top of mind.
Travel
Aims currently does not require employees to quarantine after they have traveled, however, this may change due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Colorado and throughout the United States. You will be notified if Aims’ travel guidance is updated, until then, please follow CDC guidelines during your travel.
Events and Gatherings
We encourage you to follow healthy behaviors that may help reduce contracting and spreading COVID-19. Some of these behaviors include:
Remember some counties in Colorado and certain states may have executive orders in place that are more restrictive. Additional guidance on events and gatherings may be found on the CDC website.
Potential Exposure or Illness
If you believe you may have been exposed to an individual who is symptomatic or has tested positive with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or if you are symptomatic, please do not return to onsite work and contact Human Resources at covid19.acc@aims.edu. A list of COVID-19 symptoms can be found here.
Exposure Notifications
Colorado is experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases, therefore, the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment is encouraging everyone to download the Exposure Notification (EN) app so you can be informed if you have been exposed to someone who has contracted coronavirus. Get more information about the EN app.
Virtual Counseling Sessions
Free virtual counseling sessions are being offered to all employees. Please watch the Daily for sign up information or contact jan.cope@aims.edu with questions.
Aims is a great community because of you. Keep doing your part to keep each other safe!
Sincerely,
Dr. Leah L. Bornstein
