Animation

Associate of Applied Science

Learn the fundamentals of 2D and 3D animation techniques, from keyframing to creating characters and character poses and then tweening (creating images “in between” frames) poses together. Practice what you’ve learned by working in teams, explore business for creatives and begin building a portfolio and learn how to market yourself to potential employers.
Animation Certificate

Learn to produce 2D animations and 3D models and animations using industry standard software. Learn 2D animation techniques like tweening and keyframing and develop 3D models, set lights and animate scenes.
Basic Animation Certificate

Certificate

Learn the basics of 2D and 3D animation. Master storyboarding techniques, tweening, character drawing and design and animate scenes using advanced techniques seen in movies and video games.

In-district high school students can earn this certificate in two semesters and receive dual high school and college credit.
Basic Web Design Certificate

Certificate

This certificate is geared toward high school students in concurrent enrollment at Aims who want to learn the basics of web design. Learn design principles in page layout, navigation, typography for the web, style sheets and editing for web browsers. This is a Graphic Design and Rich Media certificate with a focus on computer information systems.
Business

Associate of Arts

The Aims business liberal arts degree is designed for students who want to transfer to a participating public Colorado four-year school to pursue a bachelor’s degree. With this business associate of arts degree with designation, you can earn the first two years of credit toward your four-year degree at Aims at a fraction of the cost. This is a liberal arts degree with designation (DWD).
Chemistry

Associate of Science

Study measurement, matter, chemical formulas, reactions and equations, stoichiometry along with the development of atomic theory, electron configurations of atoms and chemical bond theory. Learn about gases, liquids, and solids, solution properties, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, acid-base and ionic equilibrium, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry with hands-on laboratory experiments that demonstrate qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques and problem solving skills. This is a liberal arts degree with designation (DWD).
Criminal Justice - Liberal Arts

Associate of Arts

Study the basic components of the criminal justice system in the US along with the historical foundation of policing systems and the emergence of relationship issues between law enforcement and community. Examine the history and elements of the correctional process and the criminal justice system. This is a liberal arts degree with designation (DWD).
Economics

Associate of Arts

Study the national economy and its business cycles and trends, how macroeconomic performance is measured. Learn about public policy, market models, money, banking and trade and how individuals effect the macroeconomic role of the public sector. This is a liberal arts degree with designation (DWD).
Elementary Education

Associate of Arts

Learn education and child development principles, how to design curriculum that integrates technology and general requirements that prepare you to complete your bachelor's degree at a four-year school. Practicum supplements coursework with hands-on classroom experience under the supervision of experienced personnel at the education facility and with the direct guidance of the instructor. This is a liberal arts degree with designation (DWD).

This two-year program prepares you to complete your bachelor's degree at a four-year school. General requirements round out a deep dive into literature with a focus that best works for your bachelor's program and might include world literature, ethnic literature, American or British literature, the literature of women and Shakespeare.
