A Letter to New Students

Dear New Student,

Welcome to Aims Community College. I’m sure you are a bit nervous, maybe even scared. Just remember one thing; you are not alone. This is the beginning of your journey, your future, you are in control. Aims Community College has a lot of resources and staff that want you to succeed. They want you to do well; use them. One of the best classes to take and finish is AAA. You will learn so much about Aims and its resources, but mostly you will learn about yourself. You may be unsure of your goals, but don’t let that stop you from continuing down your education path. You can always change your mind and your degree. Ask questions, talk to your instructors, fellow students, or your advisor, and don’t let a question go unanswered.

The main thing you need to remember is to enjoy the experience. Celebrate the accomplishments, learn from the mistakes, and never let them deter you from your goal. We are not perfect. We will make errors. Those are part of learning. Life will give us obstacles. Work with those obstacles and, if need be ask, for help. I am sure that there is no one in your life who wants to see you fail. Just tell yourself, you will succeed, you will do well, and you will graduate.

Happy Graduation!
