The Peer Coaching program is dedicated to creating and sustaining a learning environment that supports the successful academic and social transition of all students into the Aims community. Peer coaches will promote a proactive approach to students' engagement in campus life as they adjust to college by offering support, information, and guidance.
Peer coaches have successfully navigated Aims classes, resources and policies and have a strong commitment to seeing their fellow peers succeed in their personal, professional and educational goals. Peer coaches provide 1-1 social and emotional support, connect students to on and off-campus resources, and provide academic coaching (time-management, test-taking and study skills, support for AimsOnline and other technology).
Peer coaching will be offered remotely in the summer semester Monday – Thursday, beginning
May 26, 2020, through August 4, 2020.
An individual peer coach will work with students virtually once a request is submitted.
