Supplemental Instruction

Welcome To Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an internationally recognized program out of the University of Missouri Kansas City, designed to provide peer-assisted study sessions. The SI program partners with courses that are traditionally difficult, with high ā€œDā€, ā€œFā€ or withdrawal rates.

What can SI do for me?

Students at Aims who attend SI meetings typically earn a quarter to a full letter grade higher than their classmates who do not! Meetings will help you review and understand the day's lecture through activities and discussions. You will also gain valuable learning skills that will help you in all your classes.

Who are the SI leaders?

SI leaders have already taken and successfully passed the course and continue to attend class right along with you. They know what it's like to be a student and are trained to lead sessions designed to be interactive and fun.
