Paper transcripts usually go out within 24 business hours of receipt of request; during peak registration times, it may take a little longer. Electronic transcripts ordinarily go out within a half hour of your online request.
At this time, Aims does not charge for transcripts.
Many instructors enter grades a day or two after their class ends. All grades are in the system within a week after the end of the semester.
The Graduation Department checks each student's graduation eligibility at the end of the semester. Degrees for eligible students will be posted by the following dates:
You may view and screen-print your transcript from within your myAims account. If you have forgotten your myAims user name and password, click on the Username/Password Help link beneath the login area for assistance. The Help Desk is available to assist with user name and password information during regular business hours at (970) 339-6404.
The fastest way to get your transcript is by ordering an Electronic transcript; it will generally reach you within a half hour of your request. If you must have a paper transcript sent by overnight delivery, please call (970) 339-6404 for further information. The overnight delivery fee is $20. Please call in the morning if you need your transcript sent the same day. If you make arrangements too late in the day, your transcript may not go out until the following day.
No. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires that a signature must be obtained in order to release a student’s transcript. Requesting your transcript through your secure myAims account qualifies as a valid electronic signature.
Students must order their own transcripts, but can issue a written request allowing another person to pick it up. Be sure to include the person's name who will pick up your transcript, sign your request and include a phone number where we can reach you if we have questions. A photo ID must be presented to the Student Enrollment Office.
Grades are available on the transcript the day after an instructor posts them. You will need to speak with your instructors to determine if it is appropriate for you to receive an early grade and ask them to post your grade at least one day before your transcript needs to be sent or picked up. If you have not finished your course or made arrangements to finish early, you may not be eligible for an early grade.
Yes, Aims has retained all academic transcripts since it began in 1967.
