Before taking the Accuplacer, please speak with an advisor to determine if it is necessary.

The Accuplacer is a suite of computer-adaptive assessments, designed to evaluate knowledge in reading, writing and mathematics.  Aims Community College uses the results to place students into college courses that meet their skill levels.

It is possible that ACT scores, SAT scores, or completed college courses can be used as Accuplacer equivalency.  Please submit UNOFFICIAL transcripts, to assessment@aims.edu, for evaluation.

At the Greeley Campus, the Accuplacer can be taken without an appointment. Accuplacers will not be started within 2 hours of closing.

Fort Lupton, Windsor and Loveland Campus require appointments.

The Accuplacer consists of 3 sections:  Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills and Mathematics.

The Adult Education Resource Center (AERC) on the Greeley Campus offers assessment preparation.  Contact AERC at (970) 378-3578 or adultedesl@aims.edu
