Professional Background

Stephanie has taught several writing and humanities classes over the past ten years, including Creative Writing, Composition I & II, Technical Writing, News Writing, World Mythology, Modern World, and Creative Nonfiction. She has taught college students, high school seniors, fellow writers and even inmates at the Larimer County Detention Center. Her educational background has taken her down many delightful paths: from creative writing instructor to educational video game researcher to a member of a federally-funded (IARPA) research project where she helped design, test, and collect data that would help the FBI, CIA, and NSA design future curriculum involving cognitive biases.

Personal Interests

Stephanie is a published fiction and nonfiction writer and enjoys all things 'geek' related. She was a finalist in the Writers of the Future contest and has several RPG sourcebooks in print. She has delivered education pop-culture panels at Denver Comic Con since 2016, covering creative and mythological topics that we find in today's growing science fiction and fantasy narratives. She enjoys tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons and Savage Worlds.
