Graphic design students from Aims, the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, Front Range Community College, as well as high school students interested in graphic design are welcome to join in the fun. The winners of the NoCo Design Slam will receive prizes such as portfolios and art supplies. Registration is not required.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for incoming students to find out what our graphic design program has to offer, and for our current students to showcase their talent,” said Aims President Dr. Leah L. Bornstein. “I’m looking forward to another creative and fun event!”

Aims graphic design graduate, Erica Robinson from Greeley, was the winner of the 2016 Aims Design Slam.

“The Design Slam is always a fantastic experience, whether you win or not,” said Erica. “It's definitely an adrenaline rush because you have such little time for an unknown prompt. For anybody doubting themselves, the Slam is a great way to test yourself. I recommend it for any designer, novice or pro.”
