CDL Class A

classa

The Class A program is for those holding a Commercial Learner Permit (CLP).

The Class A program includes:

  • FMCSA training on federal regulations, with which drivers must comply for Record of Duty Status (Log Book).
  • FMCSA Level One inspection guidelines training, which drivers encounter once they enter the transportation industry.

Students study the various aspects of operating a CMV with an instructor. Afternoon classes are held in the classroom, covering rules, regulations, and obtaining certificates. This will allow students to be more marketable for their new career in the transportation industry.

Attention

Beginning Fall 2024, a semester-long English Language Learners program will be offered. Students will engage in weekday courses to develop their skills in the English language, with an emphasis on language related to a career in commercial driving. Students will also be concurrently completing their behind-the-wheel training. Please call to schedule an interview with the program director to determine if this program is right for you.
