Vertebrate paleontologist and adjunct faculty of geology John “Colt” Johnson led the National Fossil Day event at Aims. “Fossils are the scrapbook of our existence on this planet,” Johnson said. “When we find a fossil, we’re actually finding a memory. We’re finding a picture from the ancient past of where our ancestors came from.”
The AI Engaged Campus Designation gives a nod to schools that are getting out ahead of the brave new AI world on how to use it ethically. Six schools have earned the designation. Aims is the only community college in the inaugural cohort.
