How the English Language Program Works

Any student wishing to enroll in our English language program will first take a placement exam on campus. This sets students up for success by placing them in the most appropriate course based on their current knowledge of the English language.

At Aims Community College, students have the opportunity to learn English with:

  • Personalized support
  • Friendly and experienced instructors
  • The choice of attending class from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. twice a week
  • Additional opportunities to enroll in our GED Prep or College Boost programs, as well as advancing into many college programs

Each ELL course lasts a full semester, with fall and spring semesters offering 96 hours of language instruction, and our summer semester offering 60 hours of language instruction. Our helpful team will support you throughout the enrollment process every semester, so connect with us today to get started!

Learning English can be challenging, but at Aims, you'll find resources and supportive faculty to help you achieve your goals.

Aims makes learning English a welcoming and positive experience.
