Adult Education Programs

Aims offers several Adult Education programs that prepare students for college and/or career advancement. Programs include high school equivalency instruction, ELL services and other instruction intended to help prepare students for college-level coursework. 

Through support, encouragement and personalized options that meet students where they are, instructors guide students to be successful in what they require to pursue the next educational or career opportunity.

Available Programs

GED Prep, ELL classes, College-Boost academic support and Math Brush-Up are the programs offered by the Adult Education department.

  • GED Prep

    Aims offers flexible, personalized learning plans with the necessary instruction and personal support you need to pass the GED high school equivalency test. You can start anytime!

  • ELL Classes

    We offer five levels of language acquisition classes, from beginner to advanced. A placement exam ensures you’re placed appropriately so you will have success learning English from our friendly and qualified instructors. English classes are held in the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

  • College-Boost

    College-Boost supports you in your post-high school journey, either as a prospective or current Aims student.

    This program is designed to provide extended academic support to those who feel they need further instruction to succeed in college-level classes. Enrollment is ongoing with no set schedule and for $50 you’ll receive up to 12 months of access to personalized instruction (math, reading, and/or writing) and support from qualified instructors in the Adult Learning Lab.

  • Math Brush-Up

    Math Brush-Up is a self-paced and flexible 10-week course with both online and in-person opportunities for learning and one-on-one support from instructors. Any current Aims student who would like help strengthening their math skills before diving into a college-level math course is welcome to take this course for free.

Adult Learning Lab

The Adult Learning Lab is located on the Greeley campus and is open to students enrolled in our programs to come and go as they please to get the assistance they require from qualified instructors. Unlike traditional programs that have a specific end and beginning, programs that take place in the Adult Learning Lab allow students to work at their own pace on a timeline that fits into their schedule. 

Students enrolled in GED Prep or College-Boost have up to 12 months of full-access to the Adult Learning Lab for only $50.

Spanish-speaking and English-speaking instructors are available during the hours that the Adult Learning Lab is open.

In-person and Remote Access

Students have the option to study with us in-person, remotely, or a combination of both options.

Adult Learning Lab Hours 

The following days and times are when instructors are available to assist students in-person in the Adult Learning Lab and/or remotely:

Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.
