All prospective students and their families are invited to the Third Annual Bilingual Spanish/English Spring College Fair. This free event will take place from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Salida del Sol Academy located at 111 E. 26th St, Greeley, CO 80631.

The purpose of this fair is to introduce families to the following organizations, each of which will have bilingual Spanish/English representatives to answer questions:

Two-year colleges
Aims Community College, Community College of Denver, Front Range Community College, Morgan Community College and Northeastern Junior College.

Four-year colleges
Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, Johnson & Wales University, Metropolitan State University, Regis University, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Colorado Denver, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, University of Northern Colorado and the University of Oregon.

Local resources
Aims Community College Adult Education and ESL, BUENO CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program), Centennial BOCES, Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), Greeley-Evans Weld County School District 6 federal programs, Latin American Educational Foundation (LAEF), U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and more!

Prize drawings and light snacks are provided, and two breakout sessions will be hosted:

  • College 101 informational session: Attendees will hear about Aims Community College’s degree and certificate programs, as well as the differences between four-year universities, community colleges and private colleges. Presented by Lisette Galindo, bilingual admissions counselor at Aims Community College
  • Frequently Asked Questions on Financial Aid session: Attendees will learn more in-depth information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as well as financial resources for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) students and students of undocumented status. Presented by Juan Valdez, site coordinator at the Weld County Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)
