The new public class schedule launched on March 13, 2023. It was built in-house by the Aims Community College website team as part of the Workday implementation project.
Below is a list of known issues and enhancements the Aims and Workday development teams are working on to fix or enhance. Please note that not all of the same functionality will be available as it was in the old public class schedule.
Slow load times - The results for a search can take up to 10-15 seconds for large searches. For faster results, you should select as many filters as possible for your search. The website does some caching which will, over time, speed up results as well. We are continuing to work with Workday to develop better and faster ways to retrieve data from their platform.
Filters - The filters in the search area are cumulative, meaning the results will only return items that match every filter item selected.
For example: Selecting Instructor: Amy McFarland and Subject: Agriculture Production will only return an Agriculture Production class taught by Amy McFarland not every class taught by Amy McFarland or every Agricultural Production class.
Multiple Filter Selections - To keep the search as fast as possible at this time it is only possible to select one location, instruction and subject. We are continuing to work with Workday to develop better and faster ways to retrieve data from their platform to allow this in the future.
Online classes - Some Online classes don’t show the day and time. This is because these online classes can be completed anytime during the semester.
