Christine “Chris” Gomez brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, with a deep-rooted passion for supporting others. Her career began at the University of Northern Colorado, where she held key roles as Administrative Assistant to the Alumni Association and Business Manager in University Relations. Since joining Aims Community College in June 2019, Chris has continued her commitment to service—first as Assistant to the Dean of Allied Health, and now as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
Chris’s top strengths—Empathy, Adaptability, Woo, Arranger, and Communication—are the foundation of her success in supporting leadership and, ultimately, Aims students. She firmly believes that by supporting the VP and leadership team, she is contributing meaningfully to the student experience: “Without our students, I wouldn’t have a job.”
Outside of work, Chris finds joy in time spent with her two children and four grandchildren, and she’s always up for an adventure—whether that’s riding a motorcycle, cruising in her Corvette, or boarding a plane to a new destination. Her happy place is on a beach with white sand or relaxing at home with her beloved cats, Lucca and Luna. A lifelong athlete with a passion for sports, volleyball remains her favorite game.
