Professional Background

Kevin Watts has been in the law enforcement field for more than 22 years and he is currently assigned to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Inspector General (OIG) as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Denver Field Office. Kevin oversees HUD-related criminal investigations in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. His team supports HUD OIG’s mission by investigating a wide variety of criminal, civil and administrative violations. This includes public corruption, employee misconduct and other financial fraud schemes. 

Kevin is certified technical investigator, firearms instructor, and a certified force science analyst. He also periodically assists the Inspector General Criminal Investigator Academy (IGCIA) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) as an adjunct instructor. In his free time, he teaches various criminal justice and law enforcement courses at community colleges.
