Professionally, Shirley has been a business owner, mediator, counselor, and a DOD employee with the United States Army. She moved to Colorado from the Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts to continue her dream of being an educator of Astronomy.
Personal Interests
Shirley enjoys observing skies and continuing her dissertation research on anything and everything about the moon. She enjoys learning about the compositional makeup of celestial bodies and eating any type of cheese. As a former counselor, mental health and supporting her students through everything is very important to Shirley. She enjoys creating a safe space for all students and making her classes an environment for all.
