The Aims Community College Fort Lupton location offers small class sizes, a beautiful campus and programs that will get you ready for your future. 

Whether you’re interested in fine-tuning your professional skills, learning the basics by taking general-ed classes before transferring to a four-year university, or getting the certificate you need to enter the job market right away, the full-service offerings at the Fort Lupton campus can help you achieve your dreams.

Aims Fort Lupton is actively involved in the community with a focus on enhancing quality of life and bringing economic vitality to the area. Beyond Fort Lupton, this location serves the communities within Brighton, Keenesburg, Hudson, Platteville, Carbon Valley and Lochbuie. As a result of these efforts, the Fort Lupton campus received the Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce’s Outstanding Business award for 2018.

Full-Service Campus

The two main buildings at Aims Community College in Fort Lupton house everything a student needs to be successful without leaving campus. 

Prairie Building

The Fort Lupton campus began with the Prairie Building, which was recently renovated. Here students will find what they require to assist them in achieving their educational goals including the following:

The Nurse Aide Certificate and BUENO HEP programs are also housed in the Prairie Building, which is where students will complete their general education classes. BUENO-HEP program is a partnership between Aims Fort Lupton and CU-Boulder to offer GED and/or postsecondary assistance to migratory and seasonal farmworkers (or children of such workers).

Aims staff will welcome you and direct you where you need to go as well as answer any questions you have. This includes general questions about financial aid, FAFSA, testing, tuition, cashiering, B&N book orders, enrollment and advising. Fort Lupton staff can connect you with the necessary people and resources if needed. 

Fort Lupton has an on-site Pathway Advisor, Alejandra Gallardo, to assist students in navigating their education as they pursue their goals. Please visit the Meet Your Advisor page to get in touch with your Pathway Advisor. 

Here you will find the student center, computer lab and library. Students are able to checkout technology and equipment they require to aid in reaching their academic goals such as Chromebooks, hot spots, etc. Academic testing is also administered through the Learning Commons. 

The Testing Center offers ACCUPLACER testing. For hours and further information about tests offered at Fort Lupton, please visit the Testing Center department page. Community members can find out more about taking proctored exams from institutions outside of Aims by visiting the proctored exams page. 

Platte Building

The Platte Building opened in 2013 to provide more classroom, laboratory and workshop space. The welding technology and agriculture degree programs are housed in this building and students will also enjoy using the community space.

Beyond these two main buildings that make up the Fort Lupton campus, the Greenhouse offers agriculture students more hands-on learning, the Commercial Driver License program has its own large lot on the east side of the Prairie Building and students and staff are able to stay active along the recently added outdoor exercise pathway.

Though there is not a bookstore on the Fort Lupton campus, students are able to conveniently order or rent textbooks through the online bookstore and pick them up on the Fort Lupton campus at no charge.

Academic Programs at the Fort Lupton Campus

Students who pursue an education at the Fort Lupton campus can expect small class sizes and individualized attention. The two cornerstone programs at Aims Fort Lupton are Welding Technology and Agricultural Sciences and Technology, which are exclusive to the Fort Lupton location.

Other featured programs include the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate program and Commercial Driver License (CDL) and Equipment Training.

Concurrent Enrollment

Aims Fort Lupton also partners with high schools in the community through Concurrent Enrollment programs where students are able earn college credit while still enrolled in high school. The Fort Lupton location offers concurrent enrollment in the following academic areas: criminal justice, certified nursing assistant and welding. Fort Lupton offers small class sizes and personalized attention. Students will find the support and guidance they need to be successful and prepare to move on to a four-year university or into the workforce.

Aims partners with community organizations to make sure students take full advantage of the services that are available to them. For example, the Education Opportunity Center helps many of our students complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA, which is required for any student seeking financial Aid. In addition, our facilities are available to organizations and businesses for events, training and meetings.
