Step into the future of aviation at the 56,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Aircraft Maintenance Training Center (AMTC). The Center is located at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport along the I-25 corridor.

This cutting-edge facility is the hub of our Aircraft Maintenance Technician program, equipping students with the skills and certifications to excel in aviation and aerospace. The AMTC includes an in-house aircraft fleet maintenance space, which provides vital support for Aims flight programs.

This state-of-the-art facility includes:

  • Aircraft repair hangars with live aircraft for hands-on training
  • Avionics, hydraulics and electronics testing labs
  • Shops for composites, brakes, tires, paint, parts and more
  • Spaces to support simulators and evolving technologies
  • Overhead viewing from the mezzanine catwalk across the hangar
  • Storage for equipment, mechanical parts and tools

Academic Programs

Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Associate of Applied Science
Earn FAA airframe and powerplant certifications in the Aims aircraft maintenance technician program. Aircraft maintenance technicians inspect, repair and provide maintenance service for commercial aviation aircraft, business jets, smaller general aviation aircraft and helicopters of all sizes. This in-depth training provides a comprehensive education in aviation mechanics and systems and prepares you to sit for the FAA Part 147 exam for licensure in airframes and powerplants.
