Aims Community College Recognized for Marketing and Communication Excellence

Aims Community College’s Marketing and Communications (MarCom) team recently won awards recognizing excellence in marketing campaign execution, video advertising, branding and design.

The Aims MarCom team provides relevant information to the public about events and happenings at the college. The team highlights the valuable education Aims offers students enrolled in courses and degree programs through various communication outlets.

MarCom Awards
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievements by marketing and communication professionals. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Aims was recognized in multiple categories:

  • Platinum | Marketing/Promotion Campaign | “All in” Marketing Campaign
    The tagline, “All In,” embodies the inclusive, supportive, student-first spirit of Aims. It also illustrates the commitment that students demonstrate to improving their lives. The campaign goal is to inspire prospective students through stories that show personal transformation and illustrate what it means to be “All In” at Aims. To date, this has been one of the most successful marketing campaigns for the college.
     
  • Platinum | Audio/Film, Educational Institution| “All In” Video Spot
    In a groundbreaking initiative, Aims joined forces with idfive and Storyfarm to craft the college's video commercial. This collaboration spanned scriptwriting, location scouting, and talent acquisition, bringing together over 60 extras for a shoot over two and a half days. Since its launch, the video and its varying versions have garnered over 20,000 views, a testament to its resonant message and the successful collaborative effort that brought it to life.

  • Gold | Promotional Materials T-shirt | Aims Artistic T-shirt
    A shirt showing the Aims Artistic T-shirt DesignAs an extension of the Aims Community College brand, limited edition t-shirts are created and given to employees twice a year. Aims' voice is reinforced by flexing the college brand for employees in playful ways through these limited edition designs. This year’s design is pulled from a pattern found in our Welcome Center building incorporated on the floors and walls. Each employee received a t-shirt, which is now seen worn across the college and the community.

“Kudos to the entire MarCom team,” said Dr. Leah L. Bornstein, Aims Community College CEO and president. “A lot of time, effort and energy from many people went into these beautiful, creative pieces. It's another example of Aims employees striving for excellence.”
