Aims 2025 Year in Review
Throughout 2025, Aims translated its vision into action by advancing major campus projects, launching new academic pathways and strengthening partnerships that expand opportunities for students and the wider Northern Colorado community.
Together, these high points reflect a college moving confidently forward, grounded in purpose and momentum rather than standing still. Watch the 2025 Year in Review video below and relive a year of progress, possibility and pride at Aims.
Building Projects Move Forward
Aims made significant investments that strengthened student support and workforce preparation. Construction on the Student Health and Wellness Center progressed, expanding access to physical, dental and mental health services and reached a key structural milestone by year’s end. Aims also broke ground on the Aims Workforce Innovation Center, a future hub for workforce development and entrepreneurship set to open in late fall 2026. Aims purchased a hangar and, throughout the year, remodeled the facility to become the new Aircraft Maintenance Training Center. Classes begin at the new location on January 20, as the program has been recently certified by the FAA and has announced a new hiring pathway agreement with Frontier Airlines.
New Academic Opportunities
Aims advances student success and workforce readiness through targeted investments in health, training and career-focused facilities that support both immediate needs and long-term regional impact. While the new Aircraft Maintenance Technician program is set to begin next year, Aims launched several new programs in 2025. Another high-demand industry that Aims is advancing in is healthcare, including an LPN to RN program and a Medical Billing Certificate. Technology is another focus area, with the introduction of the Cloud Systems Administration Certificate and hands-on, workshop-style courses in 3D concrete printing. The year was also the first time that Aims awarded its first Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in Public Safety. Aims also announced that students can participate in a 2026 study abroad program, which includes a trip to Ireland. This year, 1,747 students graduated from Aims, earning 2,717 credentials, as many students received multiple credentials.
Students Winning, Placing and Leveling Up
Aims students showed up in competitive arenas and achieved results. Students earned three gold medals at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, including wins in the Commercial sUAS drone competition and strong representation from automotive programs. Agriculture students placed third in the undergraduate junior division at the AVMA Animal Welfare Assessment Contest, competing against four-year and international teams, standing out as the only two-year-degree program in the mix. A juried Student Art Show centered on creativity and identity, giving students professional exhibit experience and prizes for standout work.
Educational and Community Partnerships
Aims and the University of Northern Colorado renewed the Aims2UNC partnership for another three years, reinforcing a streamlined route from associate to bachelor’s degrees. The connection between the two schools was also reinforced by Aims Night at the UNC Bears' Basketball Game. The Aims Welcome Center was the location for the community-wide Greeley Pride event. The College also hosted a Veterans Day film festival, in partnership with the Patton Veteran Project.
Leadership and Organizational Momentum
Aims strengthened its organizational culture and community engagement. The College launched the Spotlight Speaker Series to bring keynote speakers on leadership and development to its employees, students and the broader community, featuring speakers including Dr. Amy Cuddy, Leif Babin, Dr. Myron Rolle and “Sully” Sullenberger across late 2025 and early 2026. Aims was honored as a 2025 Top Workplaces USA award winner and recognized as a Certified Healthy Workplace™ Leader. The new and re-elected board of trustees took the oath of office at the December board meeting.
