Cancellation of the Aims Board of Trustees Election and New Board Members

The cancellation follows state statute (C.R.S. 1-5-208(1.5), which allows an election to be called off if the number of candidates does not exceed the number of open seats.
As a result, the following candidates are declared elected by a resolution of the Board of Trustees passed during a special meeting on September 2:
- Marilyn Schock | District C | 4-year term
- Rhonda Solis |District D | 4-year term
- Marcella Mieczkowski | District E | 2-year term
This action eliminates the need for a ballot and finalizes the trustee appointments without a formal election.
Marilyn Schock, currently the Board Chair, has been reelected. Solis and Mieczkowski will begin their terms in January 2026.
Mieczkowski will serve a two-year term, as she takes the role left vacant by former board member John W. Haefeli, who passed away in May. Cristóbal Garcia was appointed as an interim for the seat in July and will serve until December.
