Notice of Aims Board of Trustees Vacancy and Request for Letters of Interest

The Board of Trustees of Aims Community College is accepting letters of interest from people interested in serving on the Board of Trustees from the date of appointment until the next regular biennial election on November 4, 2025.

To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must be a registered elector (registered voter) of the Aims College District for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of appointment, a current resident of District E (comprised of School Districts RE-5J [Johnstown, Milliken] and RE-6 [Greeley, Evans]), and 18 years or older. In addition, the individual must consent to a criminal background check. 

Any person who meets the qualifications and who desires to be considered for the appointment is invited to submit a letter of interest including a biographical statement, why they are interested in the position, and any previous board experience. Submit the letter of interest to the Board Liaison, Jerry Harvey, by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 15, by email (jerry.harvey@aims.edu) or at the President’s Office at Aims Community College, Ed Beaty Hall, Room 103, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Upon submission of the letter of interest, applicants will be asked to fill out a sworn affidavit attesting to the qualifications for office as well as consent to a criminal background check. The Board will meet with prospective candidates in late June. The specific date and time will be set soon. The appointment will be made at a Special Board Meeting soon thereafter.
