CPR and First Aid Classes

Health-related emergencies can happen anywhere, making it imperative for the community to be trained and ready to respond in CPR & first aid emergencies. Aims Community College offers a variety of American Heart Association accredited non-credit classes to students and community members. Sessions are available in-person and via blended learning on the Windsor, Greeley and Fort Lupton campuses (check location when registering).

Let Aims Bring CPR and First Aid Classes to You

If you have a group of employees that need to be CPR and/or first aid certified, we will bring our American Heart Association certified instructors, curriculum and equipment to your facility and train your employees onsite. 

Current Non-Credited First Aid and CPR Classes at Aims

Not all classes are available at all campus locations. Be sure to check the catalog and verify what campus your class will be held on when you register. 

For individuals with little or no medical training who need to be certified and anyone who wants to be prepared in an emergency. This course is also for our students in the Peace Officer Academy.

You will learn:

  • First aid basics
  • How to manage a medical and injury emergency before EMS arrives
  • How to prevent illness and injury in life or death situations
  • Adult CPR and AED use with optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
  • AED use
  • Opioid-associated emergencies

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years

This course is for healthcare professionals and students in Fire or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs.

You will learn:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • AHA Chain of Survival
  • Choking for adults and infants

For people wanting to teach others how to provide CPR and BLS techniques.

You will learn how to help others acquire the skills and knowledge they need to provide emergency care in a potentially life-threatening situation.

Refresher course for those needing to renew their instructor certification. 

In order to be eligible for Instructor Certification Renewal, you must meet the following two requirements:

  1. Your BLS provider and Instructor certifications must be current (non-expired as of the date of class)
  2. You must have taught or assisted with a minimum of 4 BLS or HeartSaver classes in the last 2 years
  3. Complete a monitoring session at Aims within 6 months of class

This blended learning course is designed for healthcare providers and those enrolling in Fire and/or EMS programs.

You will learn:

CPR for Degree Programs

Aims offers several degree programs that may require you to complete CPR and first aid training. Please check with your advisor about specific prerequisites for your program of interest.
