Program Admission Requirements

How to Apply to the Aims Phlebotomy Certificate Program

If you’re working toward your AAS/AHP degree, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with Stephany Wood at stephany.wood@aims.edu  so we can complete your two-year plan together. This is only for degree-seeking students, not those doing the certificate program.

Phlebotomy is currently full for Spring 26, and no new students will be accepted until the Summer 26 semester.

  1. Apply to Aims Community College. Once you've applied and been admitted, you will receive an Aims email address and Aims Number. You’ll need both before continuing with the Phlebotomy Certificate Program.
  2. Attend a mandatory orientation before the semester starts.
    1. Orientation dates have concluded for the Spring 26 semester. Next orientation dates are TBD. For questions about the next Orientation, you can set up a meeting with Stephany Wood.
  3. Review the Allied Health Professional Prerequisite Checklist to verify your current immunizations.
  4. Be prepared to pass a background check and drug screen without any disqualifiers. Although marijuana is legal in Colorado, it is not permitted when working with patients. List of disqualifying offenses.
