Note: Nurse aide classes are first come first serve in the order you sign up to attend orientation. If you do not sign up for orientation, you go to the bottom of the list. You must be registration ready in order to hold your spot. If you have any holds or registration issues, this will cause you to forfeit your seat to the next student in line.
The 5-to-6-week Aims nurse aide certificate program gives you 110 hours of learning experience in the skills needed to become a certified nurse aide.
Note that the nurse aide program is in high demand, and you must meet specific admissions requirements in order to register for your first class.
Upon admission, you’ll learn to perform fundamental skills of a nurse aide, including communication, personal care, safety and emergency care. You’ll also study government regulations, healthcare ethics and cultural sensitivity. In a clinical course, you’ll have the chance to apply everything you’ve learned while working with patients in a clinical setting in the community.
