Local law enforcement agencies are actively recruiting, each with its own hiring process. To become a sponsored cadet, you must first be hired or endorsed by a participating agency. That agency will then sponsor you for academy enrollment.
Follow the instructions below to apply to the Aims Basic Peace Officer Academy Certificate program.
Step One: Apply to Aims Community College.
- If you're not already a student, apply for admission to Aims. The application is free and takes about 15 minutes to complete.
- After applying, activate your Aims.edu student email address.
Step Two: Complete and submit your Peace Officer Academy application.
- Your academy application packet will be sent directly to you via Formstack.
- Fill out all of the forms and follow the submission instructions in the packet.
- Submit all required documentation as outlined.
