  • 1st Time Homeowners Mantenance Manual

    Congrats on your new home! This Homeowner’s Maintenance Manual Class will acquaint you with an easy-to-follow breakdown of preventive maintenance procedures, keep you organized with all your new homeowner responsibilities/bills, and hopefully increase the longevity of your home!
  • Adobe Photoshop for Photographers Workshop

    Learn a trimmed version of Adobe Photoshop as pertaining to the digital photographer! In this beginner class, we will explore basic Photoshop tools and utilizing digital imaging editing techniques on real-world sample images.   Whether you want to learn how to edit your family photos or you are a photographer that wants to enhance your images, this class is for you.

  • Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR Exam)

    The Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) is a knowledge-based credential that is designed to certify individuals beginning their HR career journey who have successfully demonstrated foundational knowledge of Human Resources. This course is an intensive review of the essentials of human resource management and should serve as a thorough preparation for those pursuing their aPHR certification.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

    Audience: This class is designed for healthcare providers such as Fire/EMS personnel, physician’s, physician assistants, nurses, phlebotomists, radiology technicians, and respiratory therapists. Including those enrolling into Fire and/or EMS programs

    Description: This American Heart Association course covers choking, one-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR for an Adult, Child, and Infant and AED use. Textbook and Certification card are included in the cost of the course.

    Payment/Refund: Payment is required at time of registration and this class has a non-refund policy.

    Attendance: Late attendance (greater than 10 minutes) will constitute and absence and forfeiture of payment. Transfer requests to another session, if available, can be made by contacting the CPR Coordinator (cpr@aims.edu) up to two (2) days prior to the scheduled class.

    Cancellation: Notifications will be sent by email if Aims has to cancel a class for any reason. Students will either be rescheduled to another class or refunded the registration fee.

    Location: Classes are held in room 170 of the Public Safety Institute building at the Aims Windsor campus located at 1130 Southgate Drive, Windsor.

    Waiting List: The CPR program does not participate in the waitlist feature of this registration system.

  • Basic Life Support Instructor

    In order to be eligible for Instructor Certification Renewal, you must meet the following two requirements:

    1. Your BLS provider and Instructor certifications must be current (non-expired as of date of class)
    2. You must have taught or assisted with a minumum of 4 BLS or HeartSaver classes in the last 2 years
    3. Complete a monitoring session at Aims within 6 months of class

    Location of Classes - Classes are held in room 125 of the Windsor Public Safety Institute located at 1130 Southgate Dr. in Windsor.

    Class Cost: The cost of the class is $100. Payment is due at the time of registration.
    Please note: this class is not refundable. You may request a transfer to another class by contacting the CPR coordinator (970-378-3532) up to two days before the scheduled class.     Next Steps: A license key and AHA course link will be sent after completion of the registration and confirmed payment, please allow 3 to 5 business days for this key and AHA course link to be sent to the registration email address. The online certificate of completion must be sent to the CPR Coordinator (cpr@aims.edu) prior to being able to participate in the skills exam.

  • Basic Spanish I

    This course welcomes all that would like to get started on the spanish language whether for traveling, for work, for family conversation or just to learn another language.  We will focus on conversational language, pronunciation, basic descriptions, verbs, and vocabulary in a very fun and interactive way.
  • Basic Spanish II

    Spanish II furthers the study of grammar, vocabulary and cultures of Spanish speaking countries. Students improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Students begin to develop reading comprehension skills through literature. Level II topics include; body parts, health and fitness, daily routines, description of people, directions, travel and transportation.  (skill level ~ mid novice to high-level novice learners)
