An Aims student meets with staff members of the Disability Access Services department.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at Aims Community College collaborates campus-wide to ensure students with disabilities have equal opportunities. SAS promotes an inclusive learning environment through information, resources, education and direct services to students, faculty and staff.

SAS helps students with a documented disability receive the accommodations they need to ensure access, such as extended test time, note-taking, assistive technology and more.

Aims Community College does not discriminate against any student on the basis of pregnancy or related conditions. Absences due to medical conditions relating to pregnancy will be excused for as long as deemed medically necessary by a student’s doctor and students will be given the opportunity to make up missed work.

Any students needing accommodations are encouraged to seek assistance as early as possible by contacting the Student Accessibility Services office at (970) 339-6565 or disabilities@aims.edu to set up an intake appointment to discuss the process of requesting reasonable accommodations.
