Professional Background
As a first-generation student from small-town Colorado, Dana is passionate about what education can do for individuals, families and communities. She feels fortunate to serve students at Aims by supporting the thoughtful work in Enrollment Management and the all-in services throughout Student Affairs.
Dana fell into her career in higher education when she started working at the University of Northern Colorado as the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Admissions in 2008, and is now nearly two decades deep in Admissions and Enrollment Management work. During her time in the Admissions at UNC, Dana learned about every aspect of the office through a multitude of positions. Meaningful work from her time at UNC includes supporting independent youth and customer service initiatives, implementing technology solutions, investing in the Student Ambassadors, and cross-campus initiatives that focused on enhancing the student experience.
Personal Interests
Dana loves watching her kids do what they love next to her partner. She’s an avid fiction reader, will watch any Colorado sports team, enjoys golf (only when it’s warm), and is usually in for a fun craft. There’s nothing better than a good laugh with friends, and it’s even better if they’re traveling somewhere new!
