As a Success Coach for high school concurrent students at Aims Community College, Kara brings a strong foundation in student advising and support. From 2018 to 2025, she served as a Pathway Advisor at Aims, providing guidance to students pursuing degrees and certificates in Education, Psychology, and various CTE fields. Her previous experience as a high school Spanish teacher provides valuable insight into the high school environment. Kara is adept at helping students explore their interests, define their objectives, and leverage the opportunities available through concurrent enrollment. She is a strong advocate for the value of education and looks forward to supporting the success of Aims' concurrent students.
On a personal note, Kara enjoys globetrotting with her husband and two sons, and her home life is enriched by the companionship of four feline friends and a corgi. She also maintains a dedicated practice in language learning, evidenced by her impressive 780+ day streak on Duolingo.
