Professional Background

Kate is the Public Information Director for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office in Northern Colorado and a faculty member at Aims Community College. Previously, she served as the Public Relations Manager for Fort Collins Police Services. Her background includes experience in both the private and public sectors, including work in crisis communication, journalism, small business marketing, and social media management.

Personal Interests

The field of communication chose Kate before she even realized what a deep connection she felt to the subject. After several higher education pursuits and jobs in a variety of private and public sector jobs in the field, Kate still loves learning about strategy, exploring the psychology of social interaction, and observing communication behaviors in the wild.
