Professional Background
Priscilla began her career in higher education as a work-study student in the Financial Aid Office at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where she gained firsthand insight into the challenges many students face when accessing and affording college. Through this experience, she discovered her passion for supporting students—particularly those who are the first in their families to pursue a post-secondary education. Witnessing the unique barriers first-generation students encounter inspired Priscilla to pursue a career centered on advocacy, guidance, and holistic student support.
In 2021, Priscilla transitioned into an academic advising role, where she realized her impact could extend far beyond helping students navigate the financial aspects of higher education. While she helped students stay on track academically, she also recognized her ability to help students discover their dreams. This realization deepened her commitment to guiding students not only through course selection and degree planning, but also through self-discovery, goal setting, and envisioning their futures.
Today, as a Success Coach, Priscilla works closely with students to build their confidence, connect them with resources, and support their persistence through challenges on their path to success. She is deeply committed to fostering inclusive, supportive environments where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to achieve their goals.
Personal Interest
Outside of her professional role, Priscilla enjoys spending quality time with her family. She also has a passion for staying active and connected to nature, often engaging in activities such as walking, hiking, and cycling. Priscilla also enjoys traveling and exploring new places, cultures, and perspectives—experiences that enrich her personal life and deepen the way she connects with others.
