Professional Background:
Selena is an Aims Alumni that has been working in education for 10 years now. She started her journey working at an alternative high school, and this is where she learned she had a deep passion for supporting students in our community. She worked in multiple departments at the high school from academics, special education, and ended her time in the counseling department. In the counseling department, she found her niche in academic planning and support. She joined Pathway Advising at Aims in 2024, and transitioned to the Aims2UNC team in 2026. Selena's mixes holistic advising with realistic expectations in hopes of supporting students through every up and down they encounter in the college experience.
Personal Interests:
Selena is a Colorado native that enjoys the snow that comes with winter. She loves movies, reading books, and spending time with her family. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her daughter.
