Professional Background
Shannon has been an integral part of the Aims community since 1997. Over the years, she has served in six different roles across the college, building a rich history and strong connections with both students and staff. Throughout her tenure, Shannon has planned hundreds of student events, helped launch the AAA and First-Year Experience (FYE) programs, developed student success initiatives, and taught numerous AAA classes. In 2015, she became the Dean of Students. Before joining Aims, Shannon launched her career as a First-Year Advisor at Miami University and later served as a Residence Hall Director at Colorado State University. Shannon’s dedication to students goes beyond academics—she’s passionate about creating an environment where students feel supported, inspired, and ready to reach their full potential.
Personal Interests
Shannon is a sports fanatic (as long as it’s not the Raiders), a bookworm at heart, a Saturday sleep-in champion, and a devoted fan of skinny vanilla lattes. She’s all about good times with great friends—and she’s absolutely wild about her family.
