‘Distinct advantage’: District 6 helps students to enter workforce out of high school

Career and college readiness efforts include advanced classes, concurrent enrollment through postsecondary partners (like Aims Community College), internship and apprenticeship opportunities, workforce readiness conferences and more. According to a District 6 2025 report to the community, 3,720 students are enrolled in a career pathway program.

How Greeley-Evans Schools Built CTE Around Student Interest

 By the end of the two-year welding program, which is about 70 percent skill-based learning, students complete the Aims Community College Welding Technician Certificate and receive 45 concurrent enrollment credits, Schilling said. A certificate upon graduation gives them a “leg up” in an industry that always needs workers, according to Joshua Lanning, the CTE welding instructor.

Aims Takes Flight with New Program to Combat Aircraft Mechanic Shortage

Aims Community College launches a new aircraft maintenance technician program to meet the urgent demand for certified aviation mechanics. Prospective students can now apply to the program to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technician degree in two years, over six semesters. The college will add certificate options as the program evolves.

Aims Launches Aircraft Mechanic Program to Meet Workforce Needs

Aims is launching a new aviation maintenance technician program. Based in Loveland, students will receive airframe and powerplant training toward Federal Aviation Administration certification while adding to Aims’ aviation industry programs.

ASE Education Foundation Congratulates SkillsUSA Medalists from Accredited Schools

In June, the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference took place in Atlanta, where Aims students earned top honors. Cloud Kline won the gold medal in Collision Damage Appraisal and Mario Saenz took gold in Collision Repair Technology.

The Strong Start Scholarship, launching this fall, is designed to reduce financial barriers for students beginning their college journey.

Greeley Still Has Pride: 3rd Annual Pride Event Raises Money for LGBTQ+ Programs, Resources

On June 28, the third annual Greeley Pride brought 1,200 attendees to Aims Community College. This event is supported in part by the Aims Campus Activities Programming Board, Student Government and Student Life Department.

SkillsUSA Championships Winners Announced, Collision Repair Medalists from 12 States

The national SkillsUSA Championships wrapped with high school and college winners in collision repair from 12 states. This included Gold medals from Aims students Mario Saenz in Collision Repair Technology and Cloud Kline in Collision Damage Appraisal.
